Ghost Gallery says
Ghost Gallery presents a special weekend exhibit featuring new ceramic and mixed media work by Seattle artist Madeline Courtney.

Join us for an Artist Reception Sat, Sept. 5th from 5-8pm
Artwork will be on view through Sunday, Sept. 6th.

Madeline Courtney approaches form with an improvisational and playful tone. Her goal is to create objects that question their own static natures, capturing a sense of the immediate and unexpected. Much of the work is inspired by historical objects of ceremony—from Chinese Bronze Age sculptures to the 19th Century Natural History Museum.

When Madeline is not playing with clay, she is curating and managing exhibitions at Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery in downtown Seattle. Previous adventures include researching the history of taxidermy in Paris, France, and managing a metal and woodshop at a college in rural Ohio. Madeline was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. (most pieces will also be available online throughout the weekend, we can ship anywhere in the world)
