Seattle Grrrl Army says
This is a meeting/workshop/conference to tackle the ways in which Jim Hesketh, as well as other abusers have been allowed, and even encouraged, to commmit violence against women within hardcore/punk. Come to vent, learn, share your experiences, and take steps toward a safer, more just world.

From your suggestions, we will work together to answer 4 main questions:
1. What happened?
2. How did it happen?
3. What are we gonna do about this situation?
4. What are we gonna do to make sure it doesn't happen again??

This will be a seated event held on the ground floor (no stairs) of V2 on capitol hill- the old Value Village. Accessable from Link Light Rail, International District Street Car, busses 9,10,14,43,49,60 and a short walk from downtown seattle. Please try to avoid wearing scents- perfumes/colognes etc.

We will be talking about some serious stuff including but not limited to sexual assault/abuse, manipulation, pedophilia, rape culture, as well as systems of oppression. There will be a mental health support crew in attendance. Let us know if there's anything we can do to accommodate your mental/emotional/physical needs.

If you can help out with set up/break down or offer room to carpool please post.
