Time Out says

Please plan to join us at Ballard Odd Fellows Hall for the Spring Equinox! *NOTE: TIMES FOR THIS EVENT ARE TBA "There are rituals of the elements and feasts of the times." (AL 2:36) This year's Ritual of the Element of Fire is an invocation to the ancient Sumerian goddess, Inanna. The most important female goddess in ancient Mesopotamia, Inanna was associated with both fertility and warfare, life and death. She was a fiery, passionate goddess who was wedded to a human king, defied the other gods, and who conquered death. For these reasons, her veneration is appropriate at the Spring Equinox when Sol enters Aries. The invocation performed in this ritual is structurally based on the 7-part invocation form Aleister Crowley gives in Liber Astarte. In the early parts of the invocation, the aspirant is overwhelmed and overpowered by the goddess, who is unlimited in both form and power. As the invocation progresses, the relationship matures, with the goddess becoming more defined and human and the aspirant becoming more empowered and divine. It ends with the romantic union and identification of the two as one being. The ritual is bookended by a banishing and a eucharistic ceremony.
