Co-presented with The Seattle Public Library.

Sociologist Sarah Jaffe has documented some of the unprecedented political engagement and social activism currently occurring in the U.S. in her book Necessary Trouble: Americans in Revolt (Nation Books). The Tea Party, BlackLivesMatter, and the successful Seattle fight for $15 minimum wage are all part of the story and we anticipate some local activists to join us as part of the program.

“Sarah Jaffe marches into the class war, fighting the good fight with a pen as sharp as any sword.” -Bill Moyers
