Tim Burgess, who has served on the Seattle City Council since 2008, is retiring at the end of this year. For this program, Burgess will talk about how Seattle politics is changing, as seen through the eyes of someone who has been a key leader at City Hall. Burgess has been a calming voice on the Council, and once almost ran for Mayor. Among his key issues: pre-K programs, police reform, and programs for the poor. Burgess will be in conversation with Seattle Times columnist Danny Westneat, who writes often about City Hall issues and follows Seattle politics with a slice of wry.
