The event creator says
Come learn the routine choreograhped by Frankie Manning. Having roots in the “ring shout” and early (pre-Lindy) jazz dance, the “Big Apple” became a craze in the swing era of the 1930s. This inspired a performance by Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers as choreographed by the legendary Frankie Manning. In the late 1990s this dance was recreated from the original film by various Lindy Hoppers (of which Chris Chapman was one of the key people figuring it out) as well as direct feedback from Frankie himself. This is an incredibly popular routine these days, something that all the experienced Lindy Hoppers from all over the world are dancing! It’s the type of routine that almost never feels like it gets old. Don’t miss out and come learn this amazingly fun dance!

This class starts on January 10th. You can check it out for just one night for $17. Otherwise this 5-week class series is $65, or $60 if pre-paid. If you sign up for both this and the Lindy Hop class for experienced dancers full class series, you get $10 off your total. More details at www.SeattleSwing.com/lindy/
