The Black Student Revolt On Campus: Then And Now says
Colleges and universities have long been important sites of struggles for social justice, and student protests have been central during each generation of anti-racist struggle in the U.S.

At UW, students in the Black Student Union led walkouts and sit-ins as part of the civil rights and Black power movements. Those traditions have come to life again as part of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Join us at this event where Jesse Hagopian, teacher and author of “More Than A Score: The New Uprising Against High-Stakes Testing”, will speak on this history and the relevance it has to our struggles today.
