Up Spirits! It's Black Tot Day!

Rumba Seattle says
For over three centuries, all British Royal Navy vessels would ring out their ship's bells. Just before noon at the sixth bell the famous 'Up Spirits' call would go out. Sailors would report to deck and receive their daily ‘tot’ of rum.

But as the sixth bell chimed on July 31,1970, British sailors were issued with their final rum ration and the popular tot tradition was no more.

The last stocks of the original Royal Naval rum casks were bottled as Black Tot "Last Consignment." Once this rum is gone, it's gone--it can never be repeated.

We will commemorate the occasion with half off pours of Last Consignment special. Our Rum Map Club has been enjoying this special all month long, but this is the last day you can have a one ounce pour of liquid history for only $52.50!

Come by and cheers to a willing foe!
