Wednesday On Wednesday // Photographic Monotypes By Matthew Chernicoff says
Matthew Chernicoff, working under the pseudonym "Chernsicle," has captured analog film photographs since 2007. After more than 10,000 images catalogued in both 35mm and 120 Medium Format, his work will hang for the first time in this debut show. In a role as a facilitator Matthew has worked with Massive Monkees, Dyme Def, 800LB, Soul Gorilla, Nowhere FC, Bean One, Supreme La Rock, Choklate and PDA Magazine – he has avoided the focal point of attention, working behind the scenes to document and produce for more than a decade in Seattle and New York. Now in his mid-30s he has decided to step out and be counted as a working artist.

Matthew has been an out-spoken supporter of LoveCityLove's reclaimed spaces and musical programming since the first location on Melrose Ave, next to the original Bauhaus Coffee. The images featured are candid snapshots and portraits from all four LoveCityLove spaces, engineered on to plywood by artist Peter Bigelow, and hand-colored by Matthew Chernicoff. Works are ready-to-hang, variable sizes ranging from 20" x 30" to 24" x 48" and all proceeds go to LoveCityLove's 501c3 foundation.
