Town Hall Seattle says
This event is presented offsite at Ada’s Technical Books. The goal of New York’s World Science Festival is to combine science and the arts to “bring scientific discovery to a broad general audience”–which certainly jives with us at Town Hall, where we strive to do so on a daily basis. Come view highlights from three 2014 WSF panels (which never saw a public screening on the West Coast!) and discuss the panel’s themes with representatives of Ada’s and Town Hall. The first screening, Science and Story: The History of the Future, is an examination of modern technology, openness, and how the digital world is impacting tomorrow, today. Panelists include author Walter Isaacson, MakerBot CEO Jennifer Lawton, TheMuse.com founder Kathryn Minshew, and journalist John Hockenberry. These lively screenings are a lead-up to live viewing parties of the 2015 World Science Festival in May.
