2016 Hermès Foundation Missulsang Award Exhibition: Geumhyung Jeong

Performance artist Jeong Geumhyung, recipient of the 2016 Hermès Foundation Missulsang Award, is curating a selection of works that she has used to project her desires and artistry. Through anthropomorphic presentations of mannequins, vacuum cleaners, training machines and excavators, she alters the role of us as humans who reinforce the notion of civilization. While maintaining her provocative manner, Jeong grants the audience the chance to explore their own dreams and yearnings, which are closely linked with the modernity that she seeks to challenge.
