Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel to Alice in Wonderland (a novel we all encountered once in our lives), is about Alice’s return to the fantastical world by climbing through a mirror. Similarly, at Total Museum’s Through the Listening Glass, we are taken into a new realm, a visual wonderland full of sounds diffracted in countless echoes. Music and visuals work together to enhance the fantastical experience, by making the physical seem less apparent and the non-physical sensible. This strange phenomenon can be fully experienced as you approach the golden altar of visual sounds, D’Ore et d’espace. The various manipulations of glass, liquids and lights surrounded by sound vibrations induces feelings of transformation and connectivity, present us with a different perspective of the ever-changing and ever-growing world we live in.
