The Boys in the Band

First performed on Broadway in 1968 and set in a Manhattan apartment as eight dudes celebrate a mutual friend’s birthday, friendships are challenged as their prejudices and real personalities are revealed throughout the course of the play. Things get especially hairy when they start playing the ‘telephone game’, in which they each have to call someone – male or female – that they loved and confess their feelings.
