Fresh off the success of its first phase, the Tiger Beer Street Food Movement is back to celebrate the unsung heroes of local food culture – the hawkers of Singapore. Tiger Beer has created two films that focus on two different hawkers, Cambridge Rd Hong Kong Roast Pork and Truly Test Kitchen, and brings to light the efforts they have put into serving Singaporeans our favourite food. Phase two will see Singaporeans enjoying meals at select coffeeshops and Tiger Beer will pick up the bill, once a week from 6pm to 8pm over five consecutive weeks. After which, patrons can upload thank you messages onto social media with the hashtag #uncagestreetfood.
Tiger Beer has also collaborated with local company Camel to come up with nasi lemak sambal-flavoured nuts. The nuts come complimentary with every purchase of two 500-millilitre Tiger Beer cans at select convenience stores, or with every purchase of three pints of draught beer or a bucket of Tiger beer at select bars and pubs (while stocks last).
