You can’t spell Time Out without TMI. With us, there’s no such thing as Too Much Information. In fact, we love it. Which is why we want to share our findings from our recent Sex & Dating Survey. Here are some facts the single folks should be interested in. Hang on lovebirds, we also have the findings for the couples who took the survey as well.

Get a room… or a few

You really like staying in. More than 50 percent of readers have just stayed home to shake it up in their bedrooms. The rest have made the effort to book a room in a luxury hotel – or even in hourly hotels – for sex. We also love that some of you keep it adventurous at public toilets, in the jacuzzi, outdoors even, in cars… and even police stations and fitting rooms. We also got answers for trains and hawker centres – amazing. Um, we applaud you for your boldness but please, please, please don’t get caught. But we do have some ideas for romantic hotels to check out, the next time you want to get it on.

Tinder remains the number one dating app with the readers, with Bumble a close second. Just curious, does it feel a little like déjà vu seeing the same people sometimes? We’re all for letting people find love at any place and time, but some people really need to work on their bios (and photos while we’re at it).

The Porn Identity

First of all, thank you for being so honest and vulnerable with us. It is 2022 after all. A whopping 77 percent of the participants admit to watching porn. While we’re on the topic of being honest, care to ‘fess up what everyone’s favourite genre is?

Team Sexting

We asked you about some sexy things you have tried and sexting trumps it all. More than 80 percent of the participants have tried getting hot and dirty via text, we mean sexts, with someone. We’ll bet there was a fair share of emojis that was used in these sexts.

The survey also showed that we’re cautious about having sex right away. 29 percent will wait after a reasonable two to three dates before doing the deed. 27 percent will hold it out a little longer and wait till after three to five dates. 19 percent don’t mind playing a fast game and would jump into the sheets after the first date.

And then there’s the 25 percent of you who are waiting till marriage. Frankly, we find this quite surprising but hey, it's your choice. Bless.

A majority of the participants were more adventurous when it came to sex during the pandemic, good on you! When it comes to experiences, 43 percent have had a one night stand, oral sex is popular with over 50 percent of you, and a handful of you have dabbled in BDSM, roleplay or some other sexy fun in the room.

Swinging and threesomes also got quite a mention in the survey – Singapore's not as prudish as we think. It's also not surprising that this group had more partners than fingers on their hands whilst the role players are as likely to have had less than five partners as they are to have had more than ten.

Blowing off some steam

This was a surprising one for us – while 50 percent of the participants talk about sex and their experiences with their friends, there’s also another 50 percent of you who don't talk about it at all. Secretive bunch we have here but just checking in: how are you feeling today? We've got some tips for you to find happiness

Only 30 percent of the participants refer to Time Out for date ideas. Try us, we have fun ideas up our sleeves, and also good recommendations to romantic restaurants
