Time Out says

Grab your headphones for a sonic journey with Checkpoint Theatre's lecture-performance A Grand DesignFirst created as a tour and a lecture-performance at the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum in collaboration with the NUS Centre for the Arts, it has been recorded and released as an immersive audio performance available for streaming on Spotify and Soundcloud.

A Grand Design is performed by Cheyenne Alexandria Phillips', an environmentalist and educator, and features personal experiences and funny misadventures in the environmental sector – from dangers posed by strawberry red frogs, snakes with hook-like teeth, to Homo Sapiens: the species that really should know better. Witty, charming and insightful, the play is an intriguing examination of our complicated relationship with the natural world around us. The reading of A Grand Design is sensitively directed and dramaturged by Chen Yingxuan, with an immersive sound design by prolific sound engineer Shah Tahir.

So grab your theatre-loving family and friends and listen to A Grand Design for free from now to July 12 on Spotify and Soundcloud. And if you've enjoyed the performance, do consider donating to Checkpoint Theatre to support their work and help them tide through tough times at giving.sg/checkpoint-theatre-limited – so we can continue enjoying them once this is all over. The theatre company is also collecting feedback on tinyurl.com/talktocheckpoint.
