Move to the beat as jailbird Minions Mel, Kevin, Stuart and Jerry put on a ‘surprise’ high-energy dance performance in the Hollywood zone. Afterwards, prepare your camera for a meet-and-greet experience with the Minions and Gru – it’s also the first time Mel and Gru are making appearances in Singapore.
Head to the Hollywood Lagoon Stage early and chope a good spot among the audience of Rodney’s Rotten Game Show. The interactive show is hosted by Rodney Rotten himself, the self-professed biggest fan of villain Balthazar Bratt, who debuted in Despicable Me 3. Participate in dancing games, trivia contests and even a banana-eating competition – you’re guaranteed an entertaining and hilarious hour that’ll have you in stitches. Look the part and up your ‘wickedness’ with temporary tattoos at the Despicable Me 3 'Tattoo Parlour' ($2) where children under 12 years old get inked for free.
Want to bring home some Minion goodies? Try your hand at the carnival-style game stalls ($5-$20) where you can shoot down capsules and compete to throw the most balls into specific coloured holes.
Of course, no party is complete without food and drinks, and there’s plenty of Minion-themed grub to go around. Fill your belly with buns, cupcakes, soft-serve ice cream and more at the pop-up stalls scattered throughout the theme park.
