Time Out says

M1 Patch! A (Live) Theatre Festival of Play is back for its third edition from July 18 to August 30 – digitally this time. The festival retains its signature mix of accessible and experimental offerings of art, experience and performance – inviting all to delight in a variety of design programmes. The festival champions the irrepressible spirit of creation and play, especially through meaningful exchanges such as live performances and real-time engagement. However, due to restrictions, this edition sees seven out of eight works presented online.

Keeping storytelling at its core, the festival’s programmes present different forms of play to suit a variety of audiences. Practice's award-winning work Here Comes Kaya and Roti? “Where Are Our Friends?” is translated into a digital medium, and is a three-episode interactive show series peppered with audience participation and live interactions.

Another one of its key highlights is Play With... series where participants can join in the fun and let their creative juices flow. Each session is hosted by a different Singaporean creator – be it a fashion designer, bartender, or a group of game designers. Piece together a garment with one of Singapore's most established fashion designers Max Tan using only fabric and pins, shake up your own blend of cocktail with bartender Johnny Rosie from Oriental Elixir, and roleplay as Singapore Ministry officers in Accomodate's online multiplayer land-use simulation game.

Online Recess Time, on the other hand, is a lunch party hosted on a chat platform. The programme invites participants – a mishmash of locals and Singaporeans living overseas –to explore different cultures and perspectives through food.
