It only gets bigger and better (literally) as the annual Mid-Autumn Festival at Gardens by the Bay ups the ante this year with sprawling lantern displays across its gardens. Look out for the 1,250 sqm showcase – the Gardens’ largest to date – which puts together a fishing village filled with 70 carp lanterns. The iconic Supertrees are spruced up for the season, too. See the Avatar-like structures get decked out with more than 100 dragonfly lanterns and stay for its nightly Garden Rhapsody show as it presents a special Mid-Autumn edition, where the trees light up to classic tunes like ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ and ‘The Moon Represents My Heart’.
But expect more than just Insta-worthy décor – check out its full programme for a line-up of cultural performances, an Asian food street and craft workshops, such as lantern-making and Chinese knotting.
