Guess who's back, back again? Local collective El Masnou – the same masterminds behind the Bubble Tea Factory – is back with volumes two and three of the immersive Otter-themed experience. After transforming Gardens by the Bay into Singapore's first otter-themed escapade last year, El Masnou will continue telling the story of Otah through volumes two and three of the immersive Otter-themed experience at Gardens by the Bay and Suntec City.
A touch of magic is added to everyday spaces through the collective's signature interactive elements and beautiful sets. A schoolhouse and a supermarket have been transformed into fun spaces for this immersive experience. This time, look out for a new character in each of the upcoming volumes – Billy the hornbill and Luckee the boar – two wildlife species that have been making local news in Singapore the past year.
Race against time in a mission to find seven secret tools to launch a rocket into space in Volume 2: Blast Off. Set in an uber colourful schoolhouse, ride on a school bus, rummage through familiar spaces including a library and a classroom to uncover hints in search of the rocket parts. Be treated to a visual spectacle at the end of the mission, where kids and adults alike can buckle up and count down with Otah as the rocket blasts off into space.
Next, amp up your mundane routine of grocery shopping with Otah at Suntec City's North Wing. Shuffle down the aisles of Chongkee's supermarket in Volume 3: Grocery Run. Fill your trolley with the freshest produce for Otah's tea party as the clock ticks down. Embark on a hunt for the ingredients needed among mouth-watering displays of seafood, cheese, fruits and bread Find out how successful you've been in picking out all the right items when you scan them at the checkout counter – and then have a tea party right in Otah's garden alongside him and his friends.
Volume 2: Blast Off and Volume 3: Grocery Run will officially open to the public on 14 June at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove (beside Supertree Food Hall), and within Suntec City’s North Wing respectively. Both volumes will run till January 3, 2022. Volume 1: Playdate is still open to visitors at SAFRA Punggol's atrium.
