A venue to see animals, both endemic and endangered without travelling far from the city.
Founded in 1936, with an impressive collection of over 3,000 animals representing 350 species, this is one of the oldest zoological gardens in Asia. The National Zoo emphasises the importance of conservation and protection of animals and promotes the breeding of rare and endangered species through proper animal welfare. A giant maze with various attractions, activities, shops and food stalls, the zoo is a favourite amongst children and adults, tourists and locals alike. The zoo has a fun energy about it, with its beautifully designed landscape and lush greeneries between the animal sanctuaries and cages.
