B Works Summer Jam And Pig Roast says
If you like bikes, brews, music, and a good pig roast, mark your calendar for Saturday, July 23, 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. for the BWorks Summer Jam and Pig Roast event that includes a silent auction to benefit St. Louis BWorks at Mad Art Gallery in Soulard. Performances during the event will be from Susan Marting and Joe Stickley. Tickets are $20/person in advance or $25 at the door (½ price for kids age 12-18 and free for kids under age 12) and include entrance, one beverage and pig roast.

Proceeds from the door and silent auction will help support this nearly 30-year-old 501(c)3 organization that helps children and youth in St. Louis discover their potential through bicycles (Bicycle Works), books (Book Works) and bytes (Byte Works).

Silent auction items include gift certificates to Salt & Smoke, Pi Pizza, four green seats at a Cardinals baseball game ($1,400 value), Blues Museum, Savor Saint Louis Food Tours, VIP Schlafly Brew Tour, Artcrank bicycle posters and more.

Susan Marting: Native St Louisan Susan Marting is new to the singer songwriter scene. Her sweet lyrics and simple melodies will grab you and her clever hooks won't let you go.

Joe Stickley: Roy Kasten of KDHX Radio says: “Between his folk-rock work with Joe Stickley's Blueprint and his Celtic-infused music with Falling Fences, veteran songwriter Joe Stickley has carved out a unique career on the St. Louis music scene. Stickley is simply a craftsman, a songwriter who knows how to tell a story, and how to deliver it with a smooth-but-not-too-smooth tenor. Like Dylan or Steve Earle, Stickley has a literary bent, but he never neglects the primacy of melody and rhythm.”
