South African 30 year anti-apartheid activist Rev. Dr Allen Aubrey Boesak will be in town to talk was activist, clergy, and youth about the past, present, and future struggles of oppression. Rev. Dr. Boesak is a theologian, humanitarian, prolific author and tireless advocate for social justice born and raised in Kakamas, Northern Cape South Africa. He played a major anti-apartheid activist role as a patron of the United Democratic Front (UDF) from 1983-1991 and in 1985 He won the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award. He is the author of Running with Horses: Reflections of an Accidental Politician that detail his 30 years as an activist and also his doctoral work Farewell to Innocence.
