KEN mode says
KEN mode (Winnipeg, MB, Canada)

https://kenmode.bandcamp.com/

With 'Success' the band set out to pay tribute to where they’ve come from: a salute to both their Canadian Prairie roots, and a time when they first started to care about making music; the burgeoning ‘grunge’ and Touch & Go/Dischord scenes of the late 80s/early 90s, with bands like Nirvana, Big Black, Cop Shoot Cop, The Cows, Circus Lupus, and Drive Like Jehu warping their teenage minds. Lyrically, the band’s fascination with comedy spirals around classical western concepts of ‘success’ – from employment, sex, marriage, religion, socioeconomic standing, and particularly the many perceptions people have of how they, and those around them, happen tofit into the world.
Recorded by the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, the Jesus Lizard, etc), ‘Success’ is the group’s most raw, real, and true record to date.

Lo-Pan (Columbus, OH, United States)

https://smallstone.bandcamp.com/album/colossus

Lo-Pan’s fourth album, Colossus, is named for the Colossus of Rhodes – a 96-foot statue constructed in 280 BC to mark a failed siege and the indomitable nature of the city of Rhodes itself. No surprise it’s the Columbus, Ohio, four-piece’s most personal album yet and a testament to their growth and survival, as a band and as human beings.

Three years on from their third record, Salvador, Lo-Pan have logged countless miles, crossing the country multiple times over on headlining tours and supporting the likes of Torche, High on Fire, KENmode, Whores, Fu Manchu and Weedeater. They’ve become one of the most ferocious live acts in American heavy rock, and Colossus stands tall to reap the rewards of their experience.

Garrett Jamieson

http://godofcomedy.com/

Originally from Winnipeg, Garrett moved to Toronto to take comedy writing and performing at Humber College, which was completed with honours. Garrett attributes his smart, soulless and smutty satire style from working at a funeral home, a dirt factory, and an adult video store. Garrett has performed in all across the world. He has also written and performed on XM Satellite Radio. When he’s not doing comedy Garrett is drawing, drinking, or playing the banjo.
