Rik Emmett, lead singer and guitarist from the rock band Triumph, returns to St. Louis, MO to perform "An Acoustic Night of Triumph" with Dave Dunlop and Steve Skingley at the legendary Duck Room at Blueberry Hill located in The Loop. Four gold and platinum decades in the music business have provided entry into the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame, the Music Industry Hall of Fame and the Junos Hall of Fame with a few "Best Guitarist" awards in various categories along the way. Triumph classics such as "Lay It On The Line", "Hold On", "Magic Power", and "Ordinary Man" along with incredible songs from Rik's eclectic solo career. A very special Saturday evening with one of the music industry's most proficient and versatile guitarists of all time! Opening for the Rik Emmett Trio will be Charlie Farren, who emerged onto the national scene in the early '80's as lead singer and guitarist with the Joe Perry Project. In that band, Charlie established himself as one of the hottest young singers to come from the Boston music scene, writing the hits "Listen To The Rock", "East Coast, West Coast", and "I've Got The Rock'N'Rolls Again". In 1986, Charlie formed Farrenheit and released a self-titled debut album on Warner Brothers. Three singles from that album, "Fool In Love", "Bad Habit", and "Lost In Loveland", as well as video exposure on MTV, established Farrenheit as one of the premier new rock acts and receiving awards, media attention and new fans across the country. Charlie's new CD, TUESDAY, features the title track that was written but never released by longtime friend, the late Brad Delp, powerhouse vocalist for the legendary band Boston.
