Steven Schreiner is the author of his most recent poetry collection "Out of Egypt," his poetry collection "Too Soon to Leave," and his chapbook "Imposing Presence." He has been a fellow at the Virginia Colony for Creative Arts and at Tall Rock. He earned the MFA in Poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and the PhD in English from Wayne State University. He is the founding editor of "Natural Bridge," a Journal of Contemporary Literature and currently teaches as an associate professor of English at University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Claire Vaye Watkins is an assistant English professor at Bucknell University and an author of various short stories and her recent novel, "Gold Fame Citrus." Her collection of short stories, "Battleborn," won the Story Prize, the Dylan Thomas Prize, New York Public Library’s Young Lions Fiction Award, the Rosenthal Family Foundation Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and a Silver Pen Award from the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame. A finalist for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award and the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize, "Battleborn" was named a best book of the year by the "San Francisco Chronicle," "Boston Globe," "Time Out New York," "Flavorwire," and NPR.org. In 2012, Watkins was selected as one of the National Book Foundation's "5 Under 35."
