Opera Theatre’s 25th world premiere, 'Shalimar the Clown,' opens June 11. Before you see this highly-anticipated adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s award-winning novel, take advantage of this FREE opportunity to meet the opera’s creators!

World-renowned novelist Salman Rushdie joins composer Jack Perla and OTSL General Director Timothy O'Leary on stage at The Sheldon Concert Hall for a conversation about his novel 'Shalimar the Clown,' how Mr. Perla became inspired to develop it into an opera, and the collaborative process that will result in the opera’s world premiere this June. The panel will be moderated by Reena Hajat Carroll, Executive Director of Diversity Awareness Partnership.

Presented in collaboration with Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries.
