Time Out says

Comic operatta based on a story by French dramatist Henri Meilhac.

Opéra de Lausanne joins forces with Opéra Comique and Opéra Royal de Wallonie for this operetta by Austrian composer Franz Lehár. Based on the comedy L’attaché d’ambassade by French dramatist Henri Meilhac, the story of romantic entanglements at an ambassador’s party in Paris was an instant hit on its premiere in 1905. The leads in this new production from director Jérôme Savary are supported by the Sinfonietta de Lausanne and the Opera de Lausanne Choir, conducted by Cyril Diederich.
