Burger maestros Jake Chalmers are opening a branch at popular Glebe pub the Friend in Hand and to celebrate they are hosting a day devoted to their mighty, meaty burgers.
It all kicks off with a burger eating competition, which anyone can enter. The premise is simple – eat as many burgers as possible in five minutes – and there are cash prizes of up to $250 and eternal burger glory for the winner.
Not big on downing your meal at speed? There will be plenty of special $10 burgers for the slower eaters among us, plus crab races, trivia and and live music from Hia Ground.
