Coinciding with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, guests will be greeted with a red carpet paparazzi experience and a night of fashion-inspired exhibitions, workshops and performances in this adults-only night at the museum.
Get dressed up in your fanciest clothing for exhibitions such as Isabella Blow: A Fashionable Life (opening on May 12), Collette Dinnigan: Unlaced, Student Fashion and A Fine Possession. Exclusive curator tours will be conducted throughout the evening and there’ll be hands-on activities like jewellery and hat making workshops.
UK-based artist Mark Liu will showcase his PhD work exploring fashion using mathamatics, and Alana Clifton will discuss ways that technology meets art and fashion featuring her work on digital fabrication in fashion.
Betty Grumble will host the event, and DJ to the biggest fashion houses in the world Valerie Yum will DJ. You can also treat yourself to fashion photography by Tim da-Rin and nail art by Nail Polish Addicts Anonymous.
