Experience the musical storytelling of this rising star from the Blue Mountains

Australia’s indie-pop artists have been hard at work developing the soundtrack for 2019, and singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin’s forthcoming album, Crushing, will be an essential addition to the mix. She’ll showcase this deeply personal collection of music on an East Coast tour, honouring her small-town roots with regional performances either side of a Sydney show on March 15.

Fans who admire Jacklin for her ethereal melodies and complex lyricism won’t be disappointed by the most recently unveiled single, ‘Head Alone’, which explores her independence as a maturing artist. They can expect to hear this confessional track alongside the mournful ‘Body’ and earlier hits like ‘Coming of Age’ and ‘Pool Party’ from her debut album, Don’t Let the Kids Win.

With alt-country influences and tours around Europe and the US under her belt, Jacklin is sure to mesmerise audiences at this intimate Metro Theatre gig.
