Laura Mvula is bringing her gospel repertoire to Byron Bay Bluesfest and a string of shows across the east coast.
Her second album The Dreaming Room was released last year in a flurry of excitement and praise. Touching tunes like ‘Show Me Love’ show a tender side to the musician, who has been lauded as one of the brightest musical talents to come out of the UK in recent years. With a genre-bending repertoire that brings classically trained vocals together with baroque soul, Mvula is a force to be reckoned with.
Laura Mvula will play her debut Australian show at the Metro Theatre on Wednesday April 12.
