Time Out says

Watch Indigenous artists perform with a spectacular glowing harbour backdrop

Cockatoo Island regularly hosts their Sunset Sessions, where new artists share intimate songs and stories on the island lawn at dusk, and they’ve organised a special show for Reconciliation Week. The afternoon’s events will start with a smoking ceremony from 3.30pm, followed by two live performances from 4pm.

Darwin-born, Sydney-based singer-songwriter Thaylia will be up first, sharing her eclectic mix of folk and electronic sounds. She’ll be followed by Evie J Willie, who blends R’n’B, roots and soul music to share her musical stories about identity, truth and culture.

In between sets, you can grab a drink from the onsite café and bar, or settle in for an early dinner starring native Australian ingredients.
