Time Out says

Singer-songwriter Masha Mnjoyan and the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra join forces to pay homage to the late, great Whitney Houston

Calling all Whitney Houston fans – this one’s for you! On September 24 at the Concourse in Chatswood, you can catch the world premiere of Whitney Orchestrated

This tribute to the beloved pop icon – who remains one of the best-selling recording artists of all time – will be performed by Masha Mnjoyan with music by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and a live band. The 95-minute shows (happening at 2pm and 7pm) will feature all of Houston’s biggest hits, including ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, ‘How Will I Know’, ‘I Will Always Love You’ and ‘Higher Love’.

Armenian-born vocalist Masha Mnjoyan was a finalist on The Voice in 2020, turning all four chairs in her blind audition and teaming up with George Michael. She is currently completing her masters in composition, and often participates in community and charity events with the Australian-Armenian community.

Willoughby Symphony Orchestra will be led by conductor Cassie Parke, while George Ellis will serve as musical director for the production.

With soaring vocals, thumping beats and songs that are guaranteed to get you up and dancing, this unmissable concert series is a must for all music lovers.

Whitney Orchestrated is part of Chatswood Culture Bites 2022, Willoughby City Council’s innovative program of music, theatre and comedy. For more information and to book your tickets for this exclusive event, head to the website.
