For others, it's just four days off in a row where you inexplicably can't visit a bottle shop on a Friday. But wherever you fall on that spectrum, one thing is certain: you cannot survive on choccies alone. To make sure you make it to Tuesday, we've gathered up a helpful list of the best cafés and restaurants open over the long weekend.

So the Paramount Coffee Project (or PCP, if you like), along with Barrie Barton’s Golden Age Cinema and Bar (a 40 seat cinema screening golden age movies at golden age prices) have taken over part of what was once the old Paramount film offices in Surry Hills. It’s Sydney's Reuben Hills and Melbourne's Seven Seeds behind PCP, offering a menu of cheeky snacks and great coffee.

Sailmaker, one of the restaurants at Hyatt Regency Sydney, is hosting a traditional Easter seafood feast, known as the Seafarer DinnerWe're talking a Mediterranean tapas table, two courses of sustainable quality seafood from the chef’s curated menu, and an Easter-themed dessert table with (oh my) unlimited sweets. It's excellent value, at just $99 for adults and $49 for kids aged 6-12. Non-seafood lovers can also dine from the separate à la carte menus. It's open to all (not just hotel guests).

The CBD mega-venue, Shell House, is turning it on this Easter. The Italian-inspired food offering wears its ultra-luxe heart on its sleeve, with the majority of the eats essentially being bougie finger food. While they may be small, these dishes are mighty, nevertheless. The Menzies Bar, and Clocktower Bar will be closed, but you can still get your fancy fix at the Sky Bar and Dining Room.
