Match fine Italian dining with Hollick wines – and meet the winemaker

Ottimo Italian Kitchen is a cosy neighbourhood trattoria in Hunters Hill serving classic cuisine in warm, inviting surrounds.

On Tuesday July 19 they are teaming with Coonawarra winery Hollick Wines for an evening of Italian cuisine that will pair six courses with the winery’s acclaimed drops.

On arrival, receive a flute of 2012 Hollick Sparkling Merlot.

First course is Hervey Bay scallops in a chilli citrus dressing, paired with 2014 Hollick The Bard Sauvignon Blanc.

Next up there’s twice-cooked pork belly to enjoy with 2012 Hollick Bond Road Chardonnay.

Thyme-infused duck breast comes with 2014 Hollick Pinot Noir; and veal polpette pairs nicely with 2012 Hollick Tannery Block Cabernet Merlot.

Lamb shank is paired with 2013 Hollick Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon; and it all wraps up with a cheese board and a glass of 2013 Hollick The Nectar botrytis.

The dinner is just $110 per person, including the wine matches, which Ian Hollick will be presenting personally on the night.

Established in 1983, Hollick is a family winery that has established a strong following for its approachable styles that exemplify the character of the terra rossa ridges of Coonawarra and Wrattonbully in the cool southeast corner of South Australia.
