When it comes to unique Japanese in Sydney, Sokyo has bragging rights. Firstly, their super-star chef Chase Kojima is a California-raised Japanese prodigy cook, who spent the better part of his young life in a kitchen. He’s cooked all over the world and settled in Sydney where he’s developed years worth of special knowledge of the local fish supply. His menu is an ultra-modern fusion of Japanese, pan-Asian and contemporary western cuisine. Sokyo also get to rub in the fact that they’re the only place in Sydney that does Japanese-inspired breakfast. For a truly unique experience, come and enjoy their miso-flavoured eggs Benedict, or their great big "sumo breakfast" featuring a marriage of sausage, edamame and roast potatoes. Mouth watering yet? They also do a la carte sushi and sashimi for lunch and dinner, a bounty of vegetarian choices, and a pre-show menu that surveys all their greats. So take a seat in their moody chic dining room and enjoy the sounds of resident DJ while you let Sokyo treat you. Best Dish: dengakuMan
