Boutique gift shop Sorry Thanks I Love You has joined forces with St Vincent de Paul Society, who delivers a nightly dinner service in Martin Place to people sleeping rough. Over the Easter long weekend, the shop will be collecting Easter egg and cash donations at their Martin Place store for a special Night Patrol delivery on Easter Sunday. A separate donation of other necessary sundries will also be provided at the request of the Night Patrol, and Sorry Thanks I Love You have registered to volunteer for the service on an ongoing basis.
Over the weekend, shoppers at Sorry Thanks I Love You can enjoy a series of chocolate tastings and they can purchase limited edition chocolate creations, specially commissioned from Sydney chocolatiers Kakawa. Their three layer ‘Babushka Egg’ is handmade from a trio of single-origin coverture chocolates.
Spiced Hot Cross Bun Brittle, studded with candied orange and moist sultanas and decorated with edible gold leaf by Winnow Chocolates, will also be available, as well as boxes of Belgian speckled sugar shell eggs.
Not a fan of chocolate? They’ll also be selling traditional hand painted ‘Bordfolk’ wooden egg cups by Danish designer Lucie Kaas.
