Time Out says

Watch the night sky then quiz the experts in an evening of stargazing in the park

Centennial Park is one of the darkest places in Sydney and so it’s a perfect setting for stargazing. Swap Friday night drinks for a trip to the park and a chance to learn more about the universe. Professional astronomers from the Sydney Observatory talk about the planets, our galaxy and the cosmos, and you can have a go at their telescope, too. The Park’s Aboriginal educator will also share his stories about the sky. The evening ends with a campfire where you can relax, reflect the stories you heard, and meet other people.
