Macquarie Lighthouse

Built in 1818, the Macquarie Lighthouse is one of the most iconic yet mysterious buildings in Sydney. Not bad for a job designed and built by - you guessed it - a British convict.

Proudly standing as Australia's first and longest operating navigational light, the building has been recently refurbished lighthouse is ready and waiting for visitors.
