The MCA are putting artists front and centre in this three-day birthday celebration, commissioning new performance works by locals (including Mish Grigor, Lara Thoms, Techa Noble and Hossein Ghaemi) – and free cake by Sydney cake artist Clifford Luu (Cakes by Cliff).
There are also special tours – ones led by artists, ones where you're totally in the nude, ones led by kids, and ones where the architect walks you through the MCA's 2012 re-design.
