Calling all budding entrepreneurs and small business owners: the New Beginnings Fair is back for 2017 as part of Vivid Sydney.
Whether you’ve got a killer business idea or are looking to expand on an already successful idea, this one-day mixer is a chance to learn from Australia’s most successful start-ups, participate in creative workshops to help build your business and mingle and connect with like-minded individuals.
The event will kick off with a speaker panel of founders from successful lifestyle and fashion brands. The panel will feature Victoria Beattie of lifestyle brand the Beach People, Candice Rose-O’Rourke from clothing and swimwear label Zulu and Zephyr, as well as entrepreneur Alex McBride, founder and director at the 5th.
Next up is a masterclass led by Kaylene Langford from StartUp Creative, an initiative set up to support the next generation of Aussie entrepreneurs and business owners. Langford will share her secrets of success in a fun and interactive speed business coaching session.
The second speaker panel will be all about social enterprises and will feature Jamie Green from One Night Stand, a sleepwear label that supports young people sleeping rough with every sale. VIP ticket holders will also get access to workshops with Alan Jones from Blue Chili and Jess Ruhfus from Collabosaurus.
The day will end with drinks, music and some of the best views of the Vivid Sydney light show. Special 5pm entry tickets will be allocated to those who can’t get away from the daily grind.
