Treat yourself to two days of chocolate desserts, cooking demos and food stalls in the Rocks
Ready to indulge? The cobbled streets of the Rocks will be lined with market stalls and chill-out zones for the fourth annual festival dedicated to chocolate.
Held over the weekend of August 12 and 13, punters can sample chocolate desserts, pick up baking tips with live demonstrations and spy chocolate sculptures, desserts and beverages created exclusively for the festival.
You’ll be able to try treats from the likes of Gelato Messina, Black Star Pastry, the Original Chocowrap, Rocco’s Dessert Jars, Piazza D’oro, Mr Black Espresso, Endeavour Beer, Baci Perugina and more.
Mr Black Espresso will be serving Espresso Jar-tinis topped with Nutie doughnuts, and Endeavour Beer will be brewing a special chocolate ale especially for the festival. There’ll be a Chocolatiers’ Quarters based in the Overseas Passenger Terminal, and at the Lindt Lounge you’ll be able to purchase your own personalised milk or dark chocolate Excellence blocks as a sweet memento. Keep an eye out for Lindt’s new signature waffles on a stick as well.
Callebaut and Knebel Kitchens will be presenting the Callebaut Test Kitchen which will feature live demonstrations from hot chefs including Kristen Tibballs, Daria Nechiporenko and Jean Michel Raynaud from La Renaissance Patisserie.
Due to the popularity of the event, George Street will be closed to traffic, allowing festival goers to freely roam around the area, sampling all the chocolate they so desire.
