Time Out says

[Sponsored] Sonos are taking over a house in Woollahra for two weeks of cultural conversation, tunes and Q&As

Sonos is filling a landmark Sydney home with a two-week program of cool tunes, compelling conversation, exhibitions, product experiences and storytelling with change-makers from the worlds of music and the culture. And you're invited – to turn off, tune in, and Listen Better.

Sonos House, in a beautiful venue at 40 Queen Street, Woollahra, is open most days as a co-share workspace as well as being the backdrop to a program of day and night events from July 10 to 21.

The purpose is to ignite conversation among friends about all things related to sonic culture, in a venue that feels like a home but with no distractions. The modern and eclectic lifestyle brands HKLiving and House of Orange have recreated their signature ‘beautiful disorder’ interiors so you can have a coffee and work from a comfy couch in style.

Program highlights include Clare Bowditch and Sarah Wilson in a spirited discussion about the tension between anxiety and creativity; a screening of hit movie A Quiet Place (with Sonos surround sound, naturally); a dark immersion session and deep dive Q&A with rock act DMA’s and another with dance act Set Mo; plus Battlehymn, a fiercely beautiful photographic exhibition by SheIsAphrodite photographer Michelle Pitiris, who has been shooting emerging female music talent across Australia. Some of Michelle's subjects will be appearing in conversation to talk about their personal battle hymns – the music that has inspired them.

And if you’re looking for more, Melbourne coffee roasters St Ali are fuelling the co-work space with delicious hot coffee and hosting a coffee master class with Australian Latte Champion, Shinsaku Fukayama. If that doesn’t keep you awake, nothing will.

Sonos House has been created to celebrate the launch of Beam, the smart compact soundbar for your TV that fits seamlessly into modern urban homes that are big on style but small on space.
