Time Out says

Fall in love with a new fluffy friend at this puppy party in the PHP carpark

While Tinder dates come and go, a dog’s unconditional love is forever. Before Valentine’s Day hits with heartache and date idea stress, celebrate the love of pooches at Public House Petersham.

From midday in the carpark, you can meet the adorable doggos up for adoption from RSPCA NSW and Sydney Cats and Dogs Home. Proud pup parents can find presents for their four-legged treasures from stallholders, talk to an animal communicator to find out what Rex really thinks about them, or show off their woofers’ skills and win a prize in the best dressed and top trick competitions.

But the big event of the day will be the dog weddings. We’re not sure how official these nuptials will be and what kind of commitments the other dogs will expect, but it’s a good excuse to rewear that bridesmaid outfit.

In between ceremonies, visit the puppy kissing booth, listen to live music, see the dog adoption parade and grab human and hound refreshments from PHP. The very sweet set-up is organised by the folks at Pound Paws, who are a rescue group and dedicated doggo event hosts in Sydney.
