Listen to the Stella Prize-winning author, live at the Opera House

The Sydney Opera House's digital program 'From Our House to Yours' has been a treasure trove of favourite past events – but now, the Opera House is back with new programming. One of the first cabs off the rank is renowned Stella Prize-winning author Charlotte Wood, who will put her sharp mind towards reflecting on the strange and specific historical moment we're all living through in conversation with Edwina Throsby, Sydney Opera House's head of talks and ideas.

Wood, author of The Weekend (2019) and The Natural Way of Things (2015), is known for her incisive commentary on contemporary womanhood and belonging in Australia. Her conversation with Throsby is the first of a four-part series titled Thinking Through A Crisis. In the coming weeks, Throsby will invite leading speakers and thinkers to reflect on the societal and moral implications of our current state for conversations, which will be livestreamed from the Joan Sutherland Theatre stage to an online audience.

While social distancing measures are necessary, there will be no audience for the live screenings and all of the live events will have a maximum of six performers on stage at any one time. Tune in to see Wood and Throsby take the stage at 4pm on Sunday, May 10.
