Head to the Grounds for a night of feasting and cooking demos under the fairy lights

The Grounds of Alexandria love to host epic themed evening soirees in their charming fairy’s grotto of a venue, and now they’re teaming up with healthy food delivery service GoodnessMe Box to create a health-conscious winter feast. Unlike other take-overs of the laneways and fern-strewn dining areas that last for multiple weeks, this will be a single evening affair.

Apart from the standard stunning visual set-up with fairy lights and food carts, you’ll get to frolic through a snowy field, sip organic mulled wine by a fire pit, and tear through wood-fired pizzas in a barn dedicated to the essential savoury accompaniment, olive oil. There’ll also be healthy cooking talks and demonstrations by food, health and wellbeing experts Sarah Holloway, Pete Evans and Leah Itsines.

Since there’s a focus on making your party food healthy, you’ll also be melting and munching vegan s’mores with sweet dukkah, pedaling away on a bicycle to earn yourself a smoothie, and drinking from superfood latté fountains. We’re not really sure if we want superfoods in our lattés, or if we want to drink them out of a fountain, but we’re intrigued to see what that hot mess will look like.

Entry into this weird wonderland will set you back $37 for either of the two evening sessions (which run for just over two hours), but you’ll get to take home a box of produce worth $25 to sweeten the deal.
