The Youth Food Movement is a national organisation that aims to help young people build skills and knowledge around food, including teaching us why knowing where our food comes from matters.
On Wednesday March 15, the Youth Food Movement is hosting A Night of Edible Conversations at 107 Projects’ rooftop garden. The talks will centre on upcycling food waste and feature I Quit Sugar author Sarah Wilson, with cooking demonstrations from a special local guest chef.
And what’s a night talking about food without delicious edible accoutrements? Snacks and canapés will be provided by YFM to fuel inspiring food conversations. Punters will also get to taste vegetable dips made from wonky veggies locally grown in the Sydney basin as part of YFM Sydney’s new Waste Not Dip range. The dips are gluten free, vegan, Kosher and available to purchase on the night.
Head beyond paddock to plate, get your urban permaculture hat on and get involved.
