Post 9/11 Veterans says
At our last event we had over 120 veterans and supportive members from the community show up to support and provide a Merry Christmas for several Tampa Bay Area families. Those individuals voiced their opinion on who the Tampa Bay Community wanted to see our organization work with in the future. The reoccuring response was you wanted to see us help homeless veterans. Since we are 100% driven by supporters, helping homeless veterans was our mission for the month of January. Trinity Cafe is unlike any other organization in the area. They not only serve the homeless, many of them veterans, a hot meal, they also give them a table to sit down and enjoy each other's company. Every table is staffed with 1-2 volunteers who interact with the patrons and show that they are not alone in the world, that someone cares about their well being. Trinity Cafe has allotted us 10 VOLUNTEER SPOTS for January 24th from 8:30am-10:45am to help serve our homeless population a hot meal as well as the opportunity to sit down with them and hear their story. Many times when we see someone who is homeless on the street we assume they are Vietnam Veterans who didn't receive the help they needed. Now the homeless population of our brothers and sisters who served after 9/11 is growing. I would like you to join me on that Sunday morning and spend 2 hours with them. Check that you want to participate and I will confirm one of our 10 spots for you. The 10 spots are first come first serve so please let me know if you would like to
volunteer with us ASAP. If we get more than 10 confirmed volunteers I will call and ask for more slots. Thank you for your participation and support!
