Qigong At Florida Community Of Mindfulness says
Qigong is Chinese yoga and meditation that involves gentle but surprisingly effective ways of moving and caring for the mind and body. It uses low-impact exercises drawn from Daoism, Buddhism, traditional Chinese health practices, and Asian martial arts traditions.

There is no charge for this class, but donations to the Florida Community of Mindfulness (FCM) that hosts this class are gratefully accepted. All are welcome, regardless of ability to contribute.

We begin with simple warm-up exercises and then do various movement forms to stretch and condition the body.

Appropriate for beginners and people with more experience. No yoga mat needed. Just bring yourself.

This class meets on Wednesday evenings 6:00 – 6:50 P.M. at the Florida Community of Mindfulness (FCM) Practice Center in the Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa. Enter through the main doors on the south end of the big building, leave your shoes on the shelves to the right of the doors, and head downstairs to the room where we will practice.

Info about the Florida Community of Mindfulness is available here: http://www.floridamindfulness.org/

The Florida Community of Mindfulness offers a guided meditation session in the main meditation hall of the practice center after our qigong session from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. for those interested in staying.

This qigong class is led by Steven Geisz. Steve is a Certified Full Instructor in the Healing Tao qigong system of Mantak Chia, a student in the multi-year qigong-teacher-training program of Ken Cohen, and a 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500).
